What is 10-OH-HHC?
10-OH-HHC, or 10-hydroxyhexahydrocannabinol, is a specific derivative of HHC (hexahydrocannabinol). HHC is a hydrogenated form of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), meaning that it has undergone a hydrogenation process in which hydrogen atoms have been added to increase its chemical stability. The addition of a hydroxyl group (-OH) to the tenth carbon produces 10-OH-HHC.
The effects of 10-OH-HHC are not well studied because it is a relatively new and less studied compound compared to THC or CBD. However, several possible effects can be hypothesized based on its chemical structure and similarities to other cannabinoids:
